The Shelby Mustang is a high performance variant of the Ford Mustang which was built by Shelby American from 1965 through 1970. Eleanor Mustangs specialise in the Shelby styled Mustang made famous by the movie Gone in 60 Seconds. There were 11 Eleanor’s built for the movie’s major chase scenes alone. Seven of those originals survived. The car was manufactured from a concept drawing and was first built by Chip Foose, who would later go on to star in the TLC television series.

“Overhaulin”.  According to The AutoChannel, because the Eleanor’s were made for different purposes in the movies, no two were made the same. For instance, Nicholas Cage, the star of the movie, can be seen driving a manual transmission vehicle in the film. However, many of the cars that were filmed were made with an automatic transmission.
